ENERGY INSIGHTS

Better decisions
start here.

Practical guidance for homes, businesses and institutions considering solar and storage.

Start with what you want to power.

The most useful first question is not “Which inverter?” It is “What needs to keep running, and for how long?”

Make a list of essential appliances: lights, phone charging, TV, refrigeration, computers or a pump. Note the approximate hours each runs and which may operate at the same time. This helps the team consider energy use, peak demand and battery backup separately.

Location, roof conditions and your existing electricity supply also matter. A quotation should show the actual equipment configuration, installation scope, cash option and any eligible Lipa Pole Pole terms. Ask for the assumptions behind the recommendation.

Start a home assessment ↗

A good proposal begins with a good assessment.

A school, hotel or factory has a different load profile from a home. Share your electricity bills and operating pattern early.

An engineering review may consider monthly consumption, demand peaks, operating hours, critical circuits, available roof or land, and how outages affect operations. The bill is a useful starting point, but it rarely tells the whole story.

Once the requirements are clear, the team can prepare a technical proposal and discuss capital expenditure, financing and operations support. Savings estimates should state their tariff, production and consumption assumptions.

Request a facility assessment ↗

For solar pumping, head and water demand come first.

Pump selection depends on the amount of water needed and the total head the pump must overcome.

Tell the team the water source, depth or lift, pipe run, storage elevation and target litres per day. The operating window and available storage determine whether the system should pump directly during daylight or include other provisions.

Those details let an engineer select a suitable pump and solar array. A product name or motor wattage on its own cannot confirm performance at your site.
